The induction heating roller is used to replace the existing resistance infrared radiation heating method for the surface setting of carbon fiber fabric to achieve better setting effect and improve production efficiency and reduce production cost.
Carbon fiber fabric setting with electromagnetic heating roller
1. Background
Carbon fiber fabrics in the composite industry can provide 2D fabrics, unidirectional fabrics, multi axial fabrics, 3D fabrics, etc., which involve a wide range of industrial fields, and their blended fabrics contain a certain proportion of thermoplastic resin. After weaving carbon fiber fabric, the surface needs to be pre-set. In the existing process, most of them adopt infrared heating method for heating presetting.
2. Existing technology defects:
Resistance infrared radiation heating is a relatively backward heating method, which has low heat utilization, high energy consumption and poor temperature uniformity. It's impossible to produce at a higher speed.
3. Solution:
The electromagnetic induction heating roller is used to replace the original infrared heating oven to directly conduct heating on the fiber fabric. The induction heating roller provides heat to the thermoplastic in the fabric, and it has the setting effect after natural cooling. In order to prevent the thermoplastic from bonding with the roller surface, PTFE material is used as roller body coating.
